This Week: Best 2025 Free Cloud + Security Resources✏️
Next Week: Create Your Own AI Lab: Azure AI Foundry in 20 Minutes
The Week After: Weekend Project: Security For Containers 🐋
This week I wanted to take the time to share some resources that are really helping me at the moment . It’s what I’m actively using right now, so it’s not some huge resource dump you’ll bookmark and never look at again. 100% sponsor free btw
Kubernetes
Kodekloud: Link Here - I'm finally learning Kubernetes! It's taken me long enough to get around to it. I'm planning to use KodeKloud for this, it's an interactive platform that focuses on DevOps and cloud stuff with hands on labs. They've got structured learning paths for Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and various cloud certs.
I haven’t actually started yet, as I’m awaiting access through work. While on this, by the way, if there’s something you ever want to upskill in, your first port of call should be to ask your employer if they can pay for the training. Even if you don’t work in Cloud or Security, it can’t hurt to ask if you can frame it as providing value.
In the meantime, I’ve been working my way through this awesome course from DevOps Directive ⬆️

PWNCLOUDS: Link Here
PWNCLOUDOS caught my eye recently, and I'm just dipping my toes in to see what it can offer. I've only just gotten started, so I'll report back with more details, but it seems really useful so far, and it's completely free to get started.
It's basically a free, open-source operating system built specifically for cloud security work by the folks at Pwned Labs. What's cool is that it's designed for everyone whether you're on the red team trying to break things, blue team defending against attacks. The system comes loaded with real world tools for AWS and Azure environment. Pretty handy!

Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals: Link Here
Sure, it might be on the basic side, but I wanted to make sure I had the baseline knowledge and credibility for talking about and deploying AI in Azure. This exam is the perfect way to do exactly that, gives you the foundation without diving too deep into the weeds. You’ve probably seen I’ve collaborated with Microsoft recently. This is 100% where this inspiration for this new study path started.
That’s all. Short, sweet, and to the point, a curated list of what I’m actually studying right now to stay on my game this year. Let me know what you’re currently studying and what your goals are.

Enjoyed this? Why not check out my other reads…
I agree about asking your employer. It also stops you from being pigeon holed or typecast. Even better if you can become the 'go to' person for advice on subjects that may well be underrepresented in your department.
Thanks so much for curating this helpful list of resources. I've been trying to deepen my understanding of cloud security, so I really appreciate these resources.
